Well Its been a while since i last left a blog on this site i totally forgot about it let me just recap on my last blog so i can fill everyone in on how im doing well over the summer i learned alot more about the sport and about my bowling style i learned how to read lanes n how to react to what ive learned as for standings on my thursday league my team finished in 8th out of 20th (not so bad considering everything), As for wednesdays everyone said my bowling partner and I were gonna finish near the bottem out of 26th teams we placed 14 beating 2 pba bowlers and quiet a few really good teams i finished my summer bowling with a 168 average which isnt so bad considering i came in at a 155 so i raised it 13 pins =]

Ok now onto fall bowling well first off i gotta say i finally got a new ball i got the columbia action packed it was given to me by a friend n instead of going to dino's where i get all my stuff drilled i went to the guy across the street from my job and at first i was alittle worried about his drilling style since its something im not used to at all i love playing straight up 10 and watching the ball roll into the pocket but he drilled the ball to go pretty long and arc into the pocket so i was having a hard time learning how to throw the ball but finally i learned how at least at my job my usally position is stand on 15 up 10 n watch it hit with this ball i gotta stand on 30 n put it up 15 n belly it out to about 10 and watch it come back in the begginning it was scary but it seems to have helped me out alot. As for bowling over at 34th avenue wow the lanes are so flooded and its a pearl ball so it just skates so i was having trouble but yesterday my friend came over and tryed out a few things with me and ive realized if i stand on 18 n send it up 7 it rolls into the pocket pretty nicely so i was practicing that today before league and it worked wonders but when it came time for league omg the lanes were way to oily for the ball lucky for me i still had my sanded down big one sitting in my locker thats my go to ball i love it to death everyone else tonight was struggling but i was having the best games ive had in a while

 Well this fall i'm only doing one league just cause i dont feel like living at a bowling alley again on my days off from work bad enough im in a bowling alley 5 days a week i dont wanna be in it 7 days a week, well here is a recap of the night well this is our 3rd week bowling so after tonight i cant use my entering average anymore im gonna miss my 168 average

 During practice i realized my action packed was skating to much for my liking so i went to my locker and dragged out my good old big one and was i so happy to see it
First game - i was still a little sore from not really warming up the way i should of i finished with a 192 which is about what ive been averaging latly ( I managed to win the card game with 3 jacks)
Second game - wow i felt on fire i started off by throwing the front 7 all strikes just seemed to hit the pocket no matter how it came off my hand in the 8th frame i got onto the approuch and the guy next to me just rushed up cause he was pissed that he was losing and i lost some focus and squeezed the ball n left a stone 7 pin which isnt so bad but on my spair i missed the 7 pin its my damn hardest pin and im a righty so its kinda sad anyway finished with a 231 should of been 259 but that opened killed me (p.s we still managed to lose the game by 15 sticks =[)
third game - at this point i was running around to see if i was still alive in brackets and the card game which wasnt so smart by me cause it was throwing off my attention i wound up finishing off with a 184

 Well Highlight of the night had to be my 231 game and finally being able to break 600 in league ive been bowling league for almost 2 years now and it seemed i couldnt break 600 for my life i bowled 18 599 series so i guess it was a pretty good night besides losing 2 out of 3 games but its still early in the season i cant believe my damn average next week is gonna be a 188

Well as the title says last night was my final night of my wednesday league its been an intrestring summer watching my team go from 21st place up to about 9th place and holding it for a while and then getting knocked down to 14th but after all is said and done we finished in 14th place on seprated by a few points thats how close the season was anyway here is my re-cap for last night

163/213/167= 543 ah pretty crappy but we took one game n lost the other two, My teammate was having a pretty off night any night i out bowl him is a n off night lol sorry eddie, but looking back on the summer ive learned alot so it wasnt a wasted league and my final santioned average is a 168 based on 39 games lol not bad for entering the winter with. This fall ive decieded I'm only bowling one league i might sub here and there but i need to get my social life back on track between work and league im in a bowling alley 7 days a week i need to change that

Well im gonna just make this short and simple cause i dont wanna dwell on this topic recently ive been bowling really bad i had my lowest series of the summer on thursday night 479 are you kidding me i bearly hit my average once during the whole night with a crappy 171 game but yeah my two leages arent going too well at this point on wednesdays we were in 7th place and wind up going against the hardest team in the league for a position round we took one game but thats all so 2/7 points but that wasnt so bad the thing that got me upset was lately i havent been able to stay focus while bowling leagues in practice everything is ok but in league everything falls to crap.

 As for my thursday league again we dropped down in the standings we were in 9th but with my damn 479 series we only took one game so 3/11 points for the week prob drops up down to 12th my current goal is to finish my leagues in 10th or better hopefully i can get my mindset straight again

P.S. ive finally uploaded a video of me bowling lol wow i never noticed how off balance i am at the foul line and everything else

Ah tonight i had an average night i guess lol but i was pumped and wanted to bowl since last night cause my teammate calls me at 1 am to tell me were in 11th place and our goal was 10th place for this league cause everyone said we couldnt do it since its the hardest league in the house as far as summer leagues goes well tonight we were supposed to bowl our leagues president but of he was unable to bowl tonight due to usbc stuff he had to take care of so we bowled his sub which is a pretty good friend of ours who is also a pba member carring a damn 233 average thank the lord for handicaps funny thing was when i entered the bowling alley he was there and we decieded to bowl i had no idea i was facing him 2night and niether did he so we bowled 2 games each and i beat him both games he was unable to get a read on the lanes =]

anyway so after practice we all started bowling and omg the lanes were so different from where we were practicing on the outsides were flooded and the insides were bone dry, so u basically had to play it straight up for righty and lefty which is very unusal for 34th avenue lanes anyway i bowled an ok night bowled 20 pins over my average series wise 161+181+176=518, The highlight of the night was auctually my third game this season is my first auctual santioned league so i wanted to bowl well and get my patches so i can put them on my old amf work shirt i bowled my first 200 in league this year but sadly i couldnt get a patch cause the deadline average for it is 160 and when i bowled it it was a 161 grr 1 pin stopped me from getting a patch so i told myself before the end of the season i would at least get one patch and tonight after 6 frames i had no opens but no strikes either it was all spares so i told my partner this is my goal for the match i want my all spares patch so he said ok cuz he was bowling good all night well besides the second game for him so i went front 9 all spares and on my tenth frame i threw a beautiful ball which i was auctually scared that i might pick up a strike but it left an 8 pin and my teammate laughed at me cause my weak pin used to be my 5 pin i know its sad but it was my weak pin i would miss it 25% of the time now i make it 90% of the time but now i miss my 8 pin 20% of the time so he laughed and said ha lets see you do it and i switched to my neptune and released it nicely but it just didnt move wound up hitting the non existant pocket of the 1-3 pin  so i missed my all spares patch due to an 8 pin grr!

anyway we were in 11th place out of 26 teams which no one thought we could do and tonight we took 5 out of 7 points against a pretty hard team so we should be in about 9th place for next week with only two position weeks left in our season its all or nothing but im happy to say ive really learned alot in this league over the summer but i still want my patch =] i got two more weeks to get one

Well i was reading through my blogs and didnt see an update for last weeks thursday league so here it is along with tonights recap.

 Let me start for by saying last week i bowled my friends team and there was so much crap talkling between us cause we are all friends i wound up bowling pretty crappy 169,192,164 for a 525 series and my teammates bowled like crap also but at least i won the game of poker so it covered my damn brackets out of everything we only took a 1.5 points our of 11 we were in 5th place this week we dropped down to 8th which isnt so bad i was expecting way worst.

As for tonight first off we were missing one of our bowlers kim was in florida she comes home tomorrow so it was just two of us and we couldnt find a female sub with anything close to her average around so we just took her blind which for the league is full average no pins taken off so it came out to 177 each game so here is the recap, First game wow during practice i was on first 6 in a roll on both lanes and the lanes suddenly changed drastally prob cause they only put down a head shot tonight since they were in a rush so for the first few frames i was having some trouble wound up finishing off with a 189 we took the game by 44 sticks thankfully, second game wow ev everything changed again me and my partner line disappeared and the other team found thier line beating us by 46 sticks i wound up only bowling 170 so now were 2 sticks down for the wood and the third game was so close untill the very end where my partner wound up finally finding his mark an going 189 out the door i finished with a horriable 155 but at that point i wasnt really paying attention to bowling anymore my wrist started hurting again which hasnt been bothering me for a few weeks so it sucked we should of lost the game but the anchor for their team wound up leaving the greek church up n costing them the game.

So in total we took 8 points out of 11
and my series was 189+170+155=514 ha wow crappy but it got the job done so I'm looking foward to next weeks standings cant belive only 3 more weeks till the end of the season already
